“Papagoideparadiis” a unique space inhabited by dozens of magnificent exotic birds. We have created a warm, caring home for them, where parrots can live in a friendly community and welcome their guests with enthusiasm. The experienced team of The Cranberries has created an environment where our feathered friends feel at home, and where everyone can meet our fluffy residents. We invite you and your loved ones – children, friends, loved ones – to visit us and have a unique experience with parrots. Please read our rules before you visit.
«Papagoide Paradiis» (eng. Parrot Paradise) is the first and largest parrot contact zoo in the Baltic States!
We are located in the very heart of Tallinn — in the Old Town at Valli 4, right next to the famous Viru Gates.
More than 300 parrots of 20 different species live here. In our unique space, you can meet playful budgerigars, sunny conures, the majestic macaw, charming cockatiels, African greys, and many other feathered beauties. Some of them can even be adopted and taken home!
Our birds are very curious and friendly — they eat treats right from your hand, love attention, understand human speech, and some of them can even talk!

White Cockatoo
The White Cockatoo is a remarkably gentle and graceful bird, instantly drawing attention with its snow-white plumage and expressive crest. This parrot is very intelligent, emotional, and exceptionally affectionate, easily forming a close bond with humans. White Cockatoos love interaction; they often express their feelings loudly and can demand attention like little feathered performers. In the wild, these birds live in Australia, forming noisy flocks and flying over forests and savannas. Thanks to their gentle nature and stunning appearance, the White Cockatoo is considered one of the most charming parrots.

Harlequin Macaw
The Harlequin Macaw is an incredibly vibrant and sociable bird that starts chattering excitedly the moment it notices people. Its feathers shimmer with a full spectrum of colours, making it look as if it was born to impress. Harlequins love mimicking different sounds, often amusingly copying alarm clocks or short phrases. Their favourite treat is crunchy apples — and they will always choose the juiciest piece. The Harlequin Macaw is a hybrid of the Blue-and-Yellow Macaw and the Scarlet Macaw. It does not exist in the wild, which makes it even more unique.

Galah (Rose-breasted Cockatoo)
The Galah, or Rose-breasted Cockatoo, is an exceptionally charming bird with soft pink plumage and silver-grey wings. Friendly and affectionate by nature, it loves company and enjoys being involved in everything happening around it. Galahs are intelligent and curious, easily learning simple tricks and eagerly engaging in play. In the wild, they live in Australia and are easily recognised by their loud, cheerful calls and lively behaviour. Thanks to their striking appearance and spirited personality, Galahs are considered some of the most charismatic parrots.

African Grey
The African Grey — one of the most intelligent parrots in the world — is instantly recognisable by its attentive, almost human-like gaze. Its elegant silver-grey plumage and bright red tail make it stand out among other species. African Grey parrots possess extraordinary abilities to imitate human speech and intonation, sometimes so accurately that it is nearly impossible to distinguish them from a person. They are highly sensitive birds, forming deep bonds with their owners and requiring regular interaction and mental stimulation. In the wild, they inhabit the tropical forests of Africa, living in noisy flocks and known for their cautious behaviour and remarkable cognitive skills.

Eclectus Parrot
The Eclectus Parrot is a truly remarkable species, immediately standing out due to the striking difference between males and females: males are emerald-green, while females are deep red and blue, as if they belong to different species. These parrots are calm, highly intelligent, and possess a gentle, thoughtful personality. Eclectus parrots learn words very well and enjoy “talking”, but do so in a balanced, quiet manner. In the wild, they live in New Guinea and the surrounding islands, inhabiting forests and feeding on fruits and tender shoots. Thanks to their unique appearance and friendly temperament, the Eclectus is considered one of the most beautiful and harmonious parrot species.

Sun Conure
The Sun Conure is a radiant little burst of tropical sunshine. Its plumage is bright yellow with orange and red tones around the head, making the bird appear as if glowing from within. Sun Conures are playful, affectionate, and love being the centre of attention. They bond closely with people and often try to take part in everything happening at home. They can be loud, especially when calling for their owner or expressing joy, but this vibrant emotionality is what makes them so lively and endearing. In the wild, they are found in South America, living in small groups and flying over forests with their clear, joyful calls.

Alexandrine parakeet
The Alexandrine Parakeet is a large, graceful parrot with a noble appearance and calm temperament. Its plumage combines deep green shades with distinctive red “shoulder patches” on the wings, making it easily identifiable. These parrots are intelligent, even-tempered, and capable of learning quite a few words, though they usually speak more softly than many other species. Alexandrines form bonds with people and enjoy attention, yet they are typically not demanding and behave with dignity. In the wild, they inhabit South and Southeast Asia, living in forests and parks. Monk Parakeets are very intelligent, learn words and phrases exceptionally well, and their speech can be surprisingly clear. In the wild, they live in South America and are known for building large, complex nests made of twigs — multi-storey “homes” where whole families live together. Budgerigars

Papagoide Paradiis is the first contact zoo where visitors can interact directly with parrots. In our zoo, you can feed the birds from your hands, pet them, and communicate with them.
It’s important to follow the rules when interacting with the parrots: walk carefully, follow staff instructions, and use only the special feed for the parrots. Visitors are allowed to photograph the birds without using flash and to enjoy their bright colours and unique features.

- Each of our birds has its own unique personality!
- Some parrots are especially curious, some are very gentle while others are more playful.
- A few of our birds can even “talk” in Estonian and Russian!
- Parrots are highly intelligent and emotional — they can feel joy, sadness, and even get upset, just like people. This makes observing them fascinating and full of surprises.
Papagoide Paradiis Rules
BEFORE ENTERING THE HALL:
- Sanitize your hands.
- Wear shoe covers.
- Do not bring food or drinks inside.
- Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
INSIDE THE HALL, PLEASE NOTE:
- Listen to the consultant and follow all advice when interacting with birds.
- Watch your step — birds walk around freely.
- Only special food is allowed in the diet of parrots, which can be purchased from our administrators.
STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
- Using flash when taking photos or videos.
- Shouting or scaring the parrots.
- Running inside the hall.
- Holding the birds with your hands.
- Touching the beak or kissing the birds.
RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING APPEARANCE:
- Remove accessories and glasses. We are not responsible for the safety of personal belongings.
- Birds’ claws may catch on clothing. Protective capes are available from the administrator.
- Cover moles or spots that birds might mistake for insects.
IMPORTANT!
- If rules are not followed, the administration reserves the right to refuse entry. In such cases, payments are non-refundable.
- Visitors who cause harm to the parrots or property will be required to pay the full cost of treatment or repairs.
